The story of Wisers Communication
By Trần Thy Vân
Intro:
In 2023, a group of media teachers and high school students came together and founded WISersTV—aiming to bring creativity, originality, and connection between students and the school. In 2024, under the leadership of Nguyễn Thảo Hiền (Jenny), it became student-led and expanded from only featuring broadcasted news to online and physical newspapers—even weekly podcasts about student life, sports, and more. This 2025-2026 school year, WISersTV returns stronger with a goal to reach broader audiences at school—introducing Wisers Communication!
Intro to Wisers Communication and visions for the year:
WISers Communication this 2025-2026, led by Do Phan Huyen An Jolie, aspires to become the Hermes of students' voices, as well as a playground to test the boundaries of creativity. Here, we aim to celebrate the voices of WISers, and to hear and understand every story.
With each shutter of the camera, click of a laptop's keyboard, and stroke of a pen—our core mission is to capture and preserve each precious moment at Wellspring Saigon. We strive to redefine the way you see news, tell relatable, meaningful stories, and connect the community—but most importantly, we want to turn up the volume of your voices!
What’s new?
In the past school year, in addition to the broadcast, Jenny has founded and introduced two new projects to WISersTV: the weekly podcast and WISersWrite—an editorial project with a take on news. This year, WISers Communication promises to bring you more elevated, updated, and improved versions, where you can easily find relatable, witty stories or updates on school events and pop culture.
The first major change we are making is about the podcast. "Tuần Này Có Gì Vui" will no longer be played before class starts every Friday but live during breaktime instead! In addition, the beloved monthly broadcast will be making its comeback with a new MC. Finally, the WISersWrite physical and online newspaper will feature new designs, stronger, more engaging storytelling from our editors, and provide a space for students to publish their works!
Conclusion:
WISers Communication is not "the end" of WISersTV—it's a new chapter, a new beginning for and led by future generations of students. From the studio team to creatives, editors, and reporters, alongside the supervising teachers and WISers turning the page, everyone is a part of our journey.
" I wish WIScom this year all the best. I hope the new team will continue to innovate, improve upon what was built last year and bring new perspectives to the table, all directed towards a greater mission: connection." - Nguyen Thao Hien Jenny, ex-director.
